The other day, a close friend recommended that I listen to a podcast from Lewis Howse on the law of attraction. He was interviewing the author of the acclaimed book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne, which has sold millions of copies worldwide. The law of attraction concept has to do with the power of manifestation. Your thoughts become your intentions, which become actionable steps for you to take in your life.

Before proceeding with my personal anecdote, I want to explain that many people don’t believe in manifestation. It is often criticized as wishful thinking or even pseudoscience. Regardless of your opinion, you have to visualize your future at some point in your life. For instance, you must decide what you want to be, who you want to date, etc. Those thoughts are the act of manifestation.

Those who oppose this ideology think that people who manifest do not believe in taking action. It’s quite the contrary in reality. Manifesting is what many successful people do, being the architect of their dreams.

Manifestation has happened many times in my personal experience. When I sit down and intently think about past experiences, I realize the law of attraction’s role in my life. This idea and my faith drive me to believe that your thoughts and beliefs become your reality. Have you ever seen an athlete cross the finish line of a race and their first words are to thank Jesus, their lord and savior? How many prayers went into the preparation for that race?

I’m a huge boxing fan, and I can remember seeing boxers pray in their corner before the fight. That action puts them in the mindset and attracts the results they want to achieve. Often, those prayers are to make it out of the match safely and, of course, victorious. But there is no doubt that the hard work put into the endless training sessions leading up to the fight was manifested through their thoughts.

Opah and many other leaders in the spiritual realm support manifestation because of its power in their lives. The most successful people in the world are giving us a glimpse into what they think and how they feel about spirituality and the law of attraction. We should believe them.

I remember as a kid, I was traumatized by my environment. I was in a loving home with access to food and a warm bed. I was never a child who lacked basic necessities. However, living in the Bronx, where gunshots were a daily occurrence, really led to a traumatic childhood experience. Holidays like Halloween were when newly minted gang members had to display their loyalty to their groups through initiation.

Kids were harming others with box cutters, theft, and vandalizing homes. I remember being young and using the power of prayer to calm my mind. I didn’t realize then that I was manifesting a new life. Roughly a year later, we left the Bronx and moved to Connecticut. Thanks to my Mother pursuing opportunities that allowed our family to make that move.

Of course, skeptics will overlook the prayers and manifestation and credit the hard work into getting the opportunity to relocate the family into a better neighborhood. There is no doubt that you are correct. However, a force field always working in the background that even the most brilliant scientists cannot explain.

Why is that? It’s the simple fact that there are still things we cannot clearly define, and we label them as anomalies.

I recommend listening to this interview and seeing how the law of attraction can impact your life moving forward.
