A really great friend of mine—someone I consider family—has been telling me about this amazing place called El Salvador for years. He raved about the people, the views, the mountains, the ocean, and all the fun activities you can do in the country. And like the typical methodical person that I am, I waited about five years to finally experience this amazing oasis.
Many people may not be aware of all the beauty that a country like El Salvador has to offer. If you’re like most, you probably read things in the news or hear about certain dangers and things to look out for. The truth is, it’s one of the safest places to visit and travel to—so much so that the people I interacted with, many from Europe, the Americas, and other parts of Latin America, were all part of this thriving community in El Salvador. It was amazing to experience time with such good souls, intelligent beings, and people who want a healthy lifestyle, which is why they decided to either move to the area or choose it as a destination for their wellness journey.
The Bitcoin Mansion Experience
I stayed at the Bitcoin Mansion, which is a property under the umbrella of Verdaad Wellness. The mansion is a boutique hotel that sits off the cliff, hanging right on the Pacific Ocean. Sitting at the property in silence, you can hear the waves pushing against the walls of the property over and over again—different variations of waves crashing against the property and producing a sound that some would describe as white noise. Sitting through those sounds and sleeping through them was one of the magnificent features that the property offers.
Being close to the ocean creates negative ions, which reduce the number of frequencies you’re exposed to and ultimately relax your nervous system. The sounds of the ocean coming from the Pacific were pure bliss, and I experienced the type of REM sleep that led to many dreams and excellent quality rest.
The Property
The property itself is magnificent, as you can imagine when you have a piece of land that sits right over the ocean. It has a main house with a large kitchen, a master bedroom with multiple bathrooms, and several access points. Adjoining the property are 3 to 4 bungalows that have additional rooms with king-size beds, queen-size beds, and singles for other guest accommodations.
It’s a long stretch of property where you can have your own private experience—from one edge where you can watch the sunrise in the early hours of the morning, to the completely opposite end where you can enjoy the ocean pool. The property has two pools: one is a traditional chlorine pool, and the other is a pool that was chiseled away from a rock off the cliff, where spiraling stairs lead you all the way down to this saltwater pool where the Pacific Ocean’s waves grace right over the edge.
Throughout the property, there are green grass areas to sit and meditate or do yoga, showerheads to wash and rinse as you experience these pool areas, and hammocks where you can lay, rest, relax for the afternoon, or read a good book.
The property also has large pavilions where you can gather for dinner, events, or yoga. There are multiple pavilions on the property where people can host weddings, receptions, dinner, and dancing—all on the property. My personal favorite feature is accessibility: you can stay on this property and enjoy the beautiful waters, relaxation, and amazing views while still having access to a complete strip of restaurants and activities that surround the area.
Beyond the Property
There’s a famous waterfall just minutes away from the property that you can access. There’s also Surf City right down the street, where you can enjoy restaurants, cafés, and nightlife activities for dancing and getting to know people. Many will wonder: do I need to be a surfer to really enjoy Surf City? The answer is no. The area is a health-conscious community, and what you’ll find is that many people don’t actually surf, but they enjoy holistic health, moving their bodies, and enjoying each other’s company.
The Perfect Reset
For those who work extremely hard at their corporate jobs, putting in 40, 50, 60, or more hours per week, this is a place that allows you to remove all the tension that stacks up on you day to day. Not to mention the societal stresses of parenting, community events, and having to juggle multiple things all at once—plus the financial burden that one has to handle while sustaining a lifestyle in developed countries like the United States, Europe, and many other parts of the world.
El Salvador serves as a destination where many members of the Verdaad Wellness community can come together and relax, release, and reset.
I’m glad my good friend was consistent in encouraging me to come down to see this country and meet the wonderful people and relationships in the area. It’s a community that is growing, with more people arriving each day. There are also innovative features like purchasing with Bitcoin, and the country uses the US dollar, which is helpful for many visitors from the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
My Recommendation
If you’ve explored the Caribbean, seen parts of Latin America, and done those typical tourist activities, and you’re looking for an option that is truly unique and filled with health-conscious individuals, El Salvador should be at the top of your list. It offers something different—a chance to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with what truly matters.
