In a world constantly trying to define greatness – greatness in business, in sports, in spirituality, you name it – there’s only one GOAT when it comes to life and the human experience we are witnessing. Jesus Christ was the ultimate, the one holding all the cards, using discernment, and holding the keys to all the answers in life.
Looking back at the stories that shaped faith, I’m always struck by how God empowered ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Take Moses – a man with a speech impediment, hiding in the desert after committing murder. God didn’t look at his resume and say “nah, I’ll pass.” Instead, He gave Moses the strength to lead an entire nation out of slavery. Moses didn’t have the qualifications, but God said, “I’ll qualify you.”
Then there’s David – this young shepherd boy who became King. God didn’t just hand him the crown and say, “Good luck.” He walked David through valleys and mountains, through victories and failures. When David faced Goliath, it wasn’t just about some kid with a slingshot. It was about God giving strength to the underdog, about using discernment to know that sometimes the battle isn’t won with conventional weapons but with faith and precision.
These stories mirror our own journeys through life’s struggles. When someone faces their darkest moment – maybe it’s a health crisis, an addiction, or a loss – they often find strength not in themselves, but in something greater.
The ultimate example? God sacrificed His only son for our freedom. Think about that for a second. The creator of everything looks at us – messy, broken, addicted, fearful – and says, “You’re worth my son’s life.” That’s not just love; that’s a revolutionary act that changed the course of human history.
What does God mean to you? Did He come down to earth and sacrifice His only son to save the world? Is God in you? It could be both.
Miracles happen, and tragedies occur. Who takes the blame? Where does all the glory go? Many questions are in need of answers.
But my belief is Jesus is the GOAT. The King of Kings. He learned many methods and teachings, from meditation to diet traditions. He took in small groups and formed a coalition of believers that would live on to tell the story.
The Bible – 800,000 words, 66 books – all the teachings in one central source. It’s all there for us to consume and understand.
Where does God fall in the grand scheme of understanding consciousness? I personally believe God is everywhere. HE lives in you!
Zoom out a million feet above the earth. It might sound esoteric or mystical, but think about the chances of you becoming a human on earth. How difficult it must be. To survive all the cosmos, millions of sperm, and to be fertilized in one egg of a woman who has not been killed in war or some destruction.
That’s some significance! If you’re ever in doubt, think about this. We have free will, we have a playbook for longevity, how to eat, how to rest, and how to give thanks.
Prayer itself is a form of meditation and self-reflection. It’s also a way of showing humility and being humble about the fact we do not have all the answers.
In many people’s darkest moments – whether facing trauma, battling addiction, or dealing with sudden health crises – they find that Jesus provides both the example and the power to overcome. His teachings aren’t just spiritual platitudes but practical guidance for navigating life’s complexities.
Just like He turned water into wine, He can transform our pain into purpose. When people face setbacks, they don’t just heal – they often come back stronger, with renewed purpose. That’s the miracle of transformation that mirrors Christ’s own death and resurrection.
In a world obsessed with temporary GOATS – athletes whose records will eventually be broken, business leaders whose companies may eventually fail – Jesus remains the eternal champion, the undefeated King whose victory over death itself means we never have to face our battles alone.
Thatβs why, despite all the noise, despite all the competing voices telling us what greatness looks like, I keep coming back to this truth: Jesus is King. Not just of heaven, but of every street corner, every boardroom, every hospital room, or recovery center, every field, and every moment of transformation in our lives.
